You can see that players are in control of Zau. He is a young warrior shaman who hails from Amandla and has been sent to find Kalunga the God of Death. Zau’s goal is to return his Baba from the world of the dead.

The PlayStation Blog states that “Zau will use two masks with cosmic powers imbued by the sun and moon to dance across Kenzera in an enchanting and chaotic manner, fighting fierce ancestral spirits, and overcoming platforming challenges, all while searching for the three mighty beings who have managed to elude the God of Death.” In his quest to reclaim Baba, Zau will unlock and discover new abilities.

The Sun Mask can also be used for a shamanic fire Supernova to burn nearby enemies with engulfing flames.
