Bethesda gives a small update on The Elder Scrolls 6.

You may have seen that one of the contenders in our game gauntlet, where readers vote on which is the greatest, was unstoppable – The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim annihilated Fallout 3 and omnislashed Final Fantasy VII. It felled Elden Ring without using spirit ashes, and it survived The Last of Us’ hordes. Skyrim, a pioneering open-world game, has enjoyed a lot of success over the past 13 years. It’s not surprising that the gaming community is clamoring to hear about its sequel. We have an update that will hopefully keep fans entertained for a bit longer.

Bethesda created a post to celebrate the 30th anniversary of The Elder Scrolls franchise. The post takes you through all games in the series. You can find the entire post below. It ends with an excerpt about The Elder Scrolls: Arena, which is highly anticipated.

The section that is relevant says: “Last, but certainly not least, Yes, The Elder Scrolls VI will be released in the near future.” We are still filled with excitement and joy when we return to Tamriel.

There’s really not much to go on, but The last time we heard about it was in Microsoft’s leaked private documents during the acquisition of Activision Blizzard. This put the release somewhere around 2026.
