The Summer Game Fest Livestream will return to Los Angeles in June for announcements and first looks, trailers and more. The livestream will start at 2 p.m. ET will be on Saturday, June 7. The stream will be available on YouTube, Twitch and other services.
According to a release, the public ticket sales for this year’s showcase will begin on May 7. The livestream date was confirmed after news last year that ‘s Summer Game Fest would return to LA in June. After the showcase on June 7, iam8bit will host a media and influencers-only event in downtown LA from June 8-10 for hands-on gaming with upcoming titles.
Plus, Day of the Devs SGF Edition will return with a livestream online immediately following the Summer Game Fest official stream on June 7th. More than a dozen titles are highlighted. According to the press release, the full list of participants and events will be revealed in the months ahead.
Summer Game Fest 2018 brought in over 34 million global live streams. This is 26 percent higher than the previous year. The peak simultaneous viewer count was 3.8 million.
